Shell-and-tube heat exchangers
Our customised solutions
Application
Our customer-oriented, individual solutions in the area of shell-and-tube heat exchangers find their main application in project business.
The focus throughout is always on the customer’s requirements for our products.
We look at the operating data, construction regulations and specifications in the course of project engineering and use this information to provide the optimal, thermodynamic apparatus.
We attach great importance to a technically and economically optimised solution, one that fully meets the requirements of the customer as well as our requirements for maximum plant safety and efficiency.
After all, at up to 600 bar operating pressure, every single welding seam counts.
In addition, strict quality controls from incoming goods to shipping ensure that the manufactured product meets your requirements with regard to function, quality and documentation.

Customised exterior and interior coating can be implemented for this product line. This also includes seawater- or acid-resistant coatings on the inner side of the tubes or tubesheets.
Our product lines
CP (TEMA type W)
Design features
- Solid design, with removable bare or finned tube bundle, easy to inspect
- Sealing of the floating tube sheet by means of 2 gaskets and lantern ring with signal bore holes for leak detection
Applications
Globally used for liquid-to-liquid exchanger applications and for gas cooling. Good price performance ratio. Typical applications: Oil cooling in hydraulic systems, large motors and shipbuilding, for example as intercooler or after cooler for compressors or as condenser etc.
A-100 (TEMA typ W)
Design features
- Removable bare tube bundle - 1-pass design - with floating tubesheet
- Large range of standard sizes available
Application
Cooling and drying of process gases or compressed air. Used as intercooler or aftercooler for compressors or, in case of gas tubeside, as pipeline cooler in pipe line systems.
C-100 (TEMA type P)
Design features
- The removable tube bundle with ring gasket allows for a larger length difference due to differential thermal expansion between the shell and internal tubes
- The tube bundle can be removed without removing the cover of the movable sheet
- Available with 1, 2, 4 and 6 passes
Application
A universal heat exchanger suitable for the thermal treatment of diverse media, air or gases. Used as inter- or aftercoolers, etc.
C-200 (TEMA type M)
Design features
- Non-removable tube bundle with or without compensator in shell
- Provides very good heat transfer performance through maximum exchange surface in shell
- Available with 1, 2, 4 and 6 passes
Application
To cool and heat various media and for applications in diverse processes.
C-300 (TEMA type U)
Design features
- The removable U-tube bundle with ring gasket allows for a larger length difference due to differential thermal expansion between the shell and internal tubes
- Available with 2, 4 and 6 passes
Application
Particularly suitable in high pressure areas to cool and heat various media. Used as steam generator and condenser as well as in processes with high temperature differentials, etc.
C-400 (TEMA type T)
Design features
- Removable tube bundle with a movable tubesheet fixed to the guide chamber
- Tube bundle can be removed without removing the guide chamber
- This version comes with a large inlet port at the bundle
- Available with 1, 2, 4 and 6 passes
Application
For process coolers, inter- and aftercoolers for gas and air, vapour condenser. For applications mainly in the chemical industry.
C-500 (TEMA type S)
Design features
- Removable tube bundle guide chamber fixed into the clamp ring
- Available with 2, 4 and 6 passes
- Designed for high differential thermal expansion between the shell and internal tubes
- Largest exchange surface with regard to comparable shell diameter of other types
Application
Satisfies the highest demands (e.g. high temperature differences) in the chemical industry and refineries. In addition to thermal treatment of liquid media, the C-500 can also be used to cool gases or air and as a steam condenser.
WRA (TEMA type M)
Design features
- Designed as exhaust gas heat exchanger with thermal shield at gas inlet of fixed tube bundle
- Inlet temperatures of up to 600° C
- Available with 1- and 2-way passes
- Easy to clean the flue gas side through the inspection cover
Application
Heat recovery from the exhaust gas of combustion engines such as gas, diesel or heavy oil engines.
